April Already?

I cannot believe it’s April already–the last year has been a blur and more so now with the arrival of our littlest one in late January. It truly has been crazy but it’s been worth it! More new baby details later…

We went over to mother’s house this evening so the grand kids could dye eggs. Things got a little messy but they had fun. Ela and I will be dying some more eggs later this week with some recipes/instructions I’ve been meaning to try.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Display Giveaway

We’re getting ready to change our window and we’re finally going to give away the Wimpy Kid cardboard displays so many of you have asked and even begged for. Just post a comment now until Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11:59pm CST and we’ll have a random drawing to select two winners–one winner will receive the Dog Days display and another winner will win The Ugly Truth Display. (One comment per person.) We’ll announce the winner next Friday. Bull Rider & Giveaway

Many thanks to author, Suzanne Morgan Williams for stopping by our shop this morning for a book signing. We had a wonderful time listening to her speak about the writing process and publication of her novel Bull Rider.

Also, kudos to Suzanne, it was announced this past week that Bull Rider will be on the 2010 Lone Star Reading List and 2010 Tayshas Reading List. My husband read Bull Rider this past week and he really enjoyed it–he wanted his copy signed to him only. Gone Fishing & Giveaway Winner!

Easter Holiday & Chance to Win!

As an independent business owner, it’s tough to get away from the shop; and 3487311267_aaa4535690 as many of you know I am also a teacher. So, when I have vacation from school, I’m at the shop. I love my shop; however, I need a break from time-to-time and need some r&r, too.

Considering it’s Easter weekend, I made an “executive decision” to close the shop for the weekend and spend some much needed time, free-time, with my loved ones. May you and yours have a wonderful holiday!
